The riverside connects to the beaches via traditional timber bridges.
The 221 hectare Brunswick Heads Nature Reserve sits between Brunswick Heads and Ocean Shores and boasts stunning, endangered littoral rainforest, as well as over 40 threatened animal species. A significant site for Indigenous Australians, the Brunswick Heads Nature Reserves sits within the land of the Bundjalung people and still provides a ready source of food.

On the first Saturday of every month, Brunswick Heads Memorial Park hosts a riverside community market which showcases a range of wares, including health and beauty products, locally made arts and crafts, plants, food and more.
On Tuesday mornings, head along to the New Brighton Farmers Market to choose from a range of local, seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as meats, breads, cheeses, coffee and more. There's live music, delicious food and a shady outdoor dining space, plus workshops, demonstrations and a kids’ space.
