Enter Bangalow via the Old Bangalow Road, which winds through the hills behind Byron Bay and enjoy a spectacular backdrop of Hinterland scenery. Steeped in a long and successful dairy farm history, Bangalow has rich volcanic, rainforest soil and is made up of stunning valleys and lush, green hills. In addition to its dairy farm history, Bangalow also produces excellent sugar and coffee, with a number of plantations scattered on the hills surrounding the village. A walking track twists along the edge of Byron Creek, leading to a stunning forest canopy rich with native wildlife and a shady park framed by gardens, perfect for a picnic. At Bangalow's doorstep are a number of National Parks and World Heritage listed sites, including the famous Protestor Falls.

Don't miss the Bangalow Markets, held on the 4th Sunday of every month. Hosted by the beautiful Bangalow Showground by the shade of the camphor laurel trees, these unique markets superbly capture the culture of Bangalow village. There's plenty of food stalls, offering local, organic food, coffee and goodies, as well as a range of goods for purchase, including gifts and homewares, kids and adults clothing, jewellery, arts and crafts, books, plants, soaps and more.
